However, he refused to let his circumstances define him and dedicated himself to developing his talents and skills to create a better future for himself.

Today, Howes is a renowned podcast host, having interviewed some of the most influential people in the world, including Tony Robbins, Arianna Huffington, and Richard Branson. He is also a sought-after speaker, sharing his message of empowerment and inspiration with audiences all around the world. In this article, we will take a closer look at Howes’ life, his accomplishments, and the lessons we can learn from his journey to success.

Interviewer: Hi Lewis, thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. Let’s start at the beginning. You’ve had a very interesting journey to where you are today. Can you tell us a bit about how you got started?

Lewis Howes: Sure, it’s been a long and winding road. I started out as a professional athlete, playing arena football. But after a career-ending injury, I was left with no job and no direction. I hit rock bottom and found myself sleeping on my sister’s couch. But I refused to give up. I started exploring different ways to make money and stumbled upon LinkedIn, which was just getting started at the time. I started using the platform to connect with people and eventually built a successful business coaching others on how to use LinkedIn.

Interviewer: That’s impressive. You’ve now gone on to become a New York Times bestselling author and a successful entrepreneur. What inspired you to shift your focus from LinkedIn to personal development and entrepreneurship?

Lewis Howes: After building my LinkedIn business, I realized that what I was really passionate about was helping others achieve their full potential. I’ve always been interested in personal development and I saw an opportunity to use my platform to share what I’ve learned with others. That’s when I started my podcast, “The School of Greatness,” where I interview successful entrepreneurs, athletes, and thought leaders to share their stories and insights.

Interviewer: Speaking of your podcast, you’ve interviewed some of the most successful and influential people in the world. Who has been the most memorable guest you’ve had on the show?

Lewis Howes: That’s a tough question, I’ve had so many amazing guests over the years. But if I had to choose one, it would probably be Tony Robbins. He’s been a mentor and friend for many years and I’ve learned so much from him. He’s also just an incredibly inspiring and charismatic person, so it was an honor to have him on the show.

Interviewer: What advice do you have for someone who is just starting out and wants to build a successful business or career?

Lewis Howes: The most important thing is to find something that you’re passionate about and that you’re good at. It’s not enough to just have a good idea, you have to be willing to put in the hard work and take risks. You also need to be willing to learn and adapt as you go. Success is a journey, not a destination, so be patient and stay focused on your goals.

Interviewer: You’ve talked about the importance of mindset in achieving success. How do you cultivate a positive and resilient mindset, especially when faced with challenges and setbacks?

Lewis Howes: Mindset is everything. It’s what sets successful people apart from those who give up at the first sign of failure. To cultivate a positive and resilient mindset, you need to practice gratitude, self-reflection, and self-care. I start every day with a gratitude practice where I reflect on the things I’m thankful for. This helps me stay focused on the positive and not get bogged down by negativity. I also take time to reflect on my goals and make sure I’m staying on track. And finally, I prioritize self-care, which includes exercise, healthy eating, and meditation. Taking care of yourself is essential to maintaining a positive mindset and being able to handle the challenges that come your way.

Interviewer: You’ve also talked about the importance of building a strong network. What advice do you have for someone who wants to build a network but doesn’t know where to start?

Lewis Howes: Building a strong network is crucial for success, but it can be intimidating for some people. My advice is to start by identifying your goals and the people who can help you achieve them. Then, start reaching out to those people and building relationships. You can do this by attending events, reaching out on social media, or even just sending an email. The key is to be genuine and offer value to the people you’re trying to connect with. Don’t just ask for something, give something in return. It could be as simple as sharing an article or offering to help them with a project. And remember, networking is a two-way street. You should also be willing to offer your help and support to others.

Interviewer: Lewis, what’s next for you? Do you have any upcoming projects or goals that you’re working towards?

Lewis Howes: I’m always working on new projects and goals. Right now, I’m focused on growing my podcast and expanding my reach. I’m also working on a new book that I’m excited to share with my audience. And of course, I’m always looking for new ways to help people achieve their full potential. I’m excited about the future and can’t wait to see what’s next.

Interviewer: Thank you, Lewis, for sharing your inspiring journey with us. You’ve mentioned the importance of personal development and continuous learning. What are some of the resources or books that have had the most impact on you?

Lewis Howes: There have been many books and resources that have had a profound impact on me over the years. Some of my favorites include “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey, “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho, and “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. I’ve also learned a lot from attending seminars and events, as well as from mentors and coaches. The key is to always be open to learning and seeking out new knowledge and insights.

Interviewer: You’ve accomplished so much in your career, from being a professional athlete to building a successful business and becoming a bestselling author. What are you most proud of?

Lewis Howes: That’s a tough question. I’m proud of all the things I’ve accomplished, but I think what I’m most proud of is the impact that I’ve had on others. I’ve received countless messages from people who have been inspired by my story and my message, and that means the world to me. I believe that we all have the power to make a difference in the world, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to do that through my work.

Interviewer: You’ve also mentioned the importance of giving back and making a positive impact on others. What are some of the causes that are closest to your heart?

Lewis Howes: Giving back is a big part of my mission. I’m passionate about supporting organizations that help kids and young people reach their full potential, especially those who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. I’m also committed to promoting mental health and wellness, which is something that I think is incredibly important in today’s world. Finally, I’m passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion, and I believe that we all have a responsibility to do our part to make the world a more just and equitable place.

Interviewer: Thank you again, Lewis, for sharing your wisdom and insights with us today. It’s been a pleasure speaking with you.

Lewis Howes: Thank you for having me. It’s been a pleasure to share my journey and my message with your audience. I hope that it has inspired and empowered them to pursue their own dreams and goals.
